What is the FRD
The FRD is a force reset device designed for the AR-15 platform that allows the gun to fire at the fastest possible rate while still being legal.
What is the Difference between the FRD and the MINI FRD
The only difference has to do with fitment,
There are a lot of different manufacturers for the AR-15 platform and they all have different tolerances and very slight changes that can effect how the FRD device fits.
The Mini is designed as an improvement to the FRD that can fit more manufacturers but at the same time there are many models that will not close on the Mini that will require the full size FRD.
If you are unsure which version will work in your Gun its best to purchase the housing for the model that you didn't purchase to easily switch out the internals.
Rough Racking Issue
Due to the innumerable differences between different manufacturers of the AR-15 some guns will require you to tune the FRD slightly to run at 100% smoothness.

Currently we are working on changing the design to fit better in ALL AR-15 platforms, at present the design is meant to work with MOST of them but there are still a few outliers.
IF YOU ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE:
Don't worry, its very easy to tune the device to make it run perfectly in your gun.
FIX:
Simply take a file, piece of sandpaper or even a Dremel and shave down the front end of the lever on the device a little bit at a time and then check how it racks, make sure not to remove too much all at once.
Light Primer Strikes
This is a fairly common issue and it is caused by your buffer weight not being heavy enough for the rapid rate of fire.
the fix is simple, most people will have to make this change to their Firearm for it to work.
for guns with a barrel length of 16+ inches you will need an H2 Buffer weight
For guns with a barrel shorter than 16 inches you will usually need an H3 buffer weight.
Is This Legal?
The Short Answer is YES
With that being said, the supreme court case involving Rare Breed Triggers was settled after the precedent from "Cargill v Garland" allowed for FRT devices to not be considered Machine Gun Conversion Devices by the ATF.
For this reason this device is not Banned federally, but there are several states that have taken steps to ban them on their own. These states are listed on the pages for each FRD item and we will not ship to you if you order from these places.
